Dell Unveils New XPS Lineup at CES with Invisible Haptic Trackpads and Capacitive Function Keys
At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) this year, Dell has introduced a new lineup of XPS laptops, including the XPS 13, 14, and 16 models. These new models feature a sleek modern design and innovative new features aimed at improving the user experience.
One of the standout features of the new XPS lineup is the invisible haptic trackpads, which provide tactile feedback without the need for physical buttons. The laptops also come with capacitive function keys and wider keyboards with no spacing between keys, creating a more seamless typing experience.
The XPS 14, in particular, is designed to offer the power of the XPS 16 in a lighter package, making it a great option for users who require both speed and portability. The XPS 13 and 14 models deliver solid performance, excellent keyboards, and gorgeous displays. However, some users have reported usability issues with the new design.
The XPS 14 is equipped with the NVIDIA RTX 4050 GPU, providing better performance for tasks such as video encoding and 3D rendering. It also features a larger screen than the XPS 13, with a variety of display options offering up to 120Hz refresh rates. Both models come with Intel Core Ultra CPUs and offer solid performance, with the XPS 14 outperforming the XPS 13 in GPU-intensive tasks.
Additional features of the XPS 13 and 14 include solid 1080p webcams, Windows Hello support, and 8-watt speaker setups. Battery life varies between the two models, with the XPS 13 lasting longer in benchmarks compared to the XPS 14.
The new XPS models come with higher price tags, starting at $1,399 for the XPS 13 and $1,699 for the XPS 14, with more expensive configurations available for those who require additional features. The XPS lineup is set to be available for purchase in the coming months, catering to users who demand performance and style in their laptops.
