The Bib Theorists Report: NFL Draft Grades Revealed
As the dust settles on the NFL draft weekend, analysts and fans alike are pouring over the selections made by each team, assigning grades and evaluating the potential impact of the new players. German NFL analyst Rene Bugner has taken this tradition a step further by compiling the grades from 20 prominent analysts into an aggregate GPA for all 32 teams.
According to Bugner’s calculations, the Pittsburgh Steelers come out on top with a composite GPA of 3.92. Following closely behind are the Chicago Bears, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Football Team, and Kansas City Chiefs, who earned a respectable 3.68 grade.
On the other end of the spectrum, the Atlanta Falcons find themselves at the bottom of the GPA chart with a score of 1.88. This low grade is largely attributed to their controversial selection of quarterback Michael Penix Jr. at No. 8 overall.
Rounding out the bottom five GPAs are the Cleveland Browns, Carolina Panthers, Tennessee Titans, and Denver Broncos. However, it’s not all bad news, as a total of 20 teams managed to earn a 3.0 GPA or higher, with the Houston Texans achieving a solid 3.0 score.
For those interested in the full breakdown of Bugner’s GPA chart and individual analyst votes, they can be found on his X (formerly Twitter) post. As the teams begin their off-season workouts and prepare for the upcoming season, only time will tell how accurately these draft grades reflect their success on the field.
