Billionaire Jeff Bezos Expands Real Estate Portfolio with $90 Million Waterfront Estate in South Florida
Jeff Bezos, the world’s richest man, has added another property to his real estate portfolio with the purchase of a $90 million waterfront estate on Indian Creek Island in South Florida. The six-bedroom mansion will serve as Bezos’ temporary residence while work is being done on the two other properties he previously purchased on the island.
The upscale property, which was last sold in 1998 for $2.5 million, highlights the skyrocketing home prices on Indian Creek Island, also known as the “Billionaire Bunker.” The estate boasts a swimming pool, boat dock on Biscayne Bay, and a sprawling 10,000 square feet of living space.
Bezos made headlines last November when he announced his decision to move to Miami on Instagram in order to be closer to his family and fiancée. With this latest purchase, Bezos now owns a total of three homes on Indian Creek Island, with a combined real estate value of $237 million.
Indian Creek Island is home to several other high-profile residents, including football star Tom Brady, political figures Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump, and billionaire investor Carl Icahn. The exclusive community offers its residents access to a private 18-hole golf course and country club amenities.
The acquisition of the $90 million waterfront estate further solidifies Bezos’ presence in the luxury real estate market and cements his status as a major player in the South Florida property scene.
