Bitfinex Analysts Predict Decline in Bitcoin Issuance Following Halving Event
Analysts at Bitfinex are forecasting a decrease in the daily issuance rate of Bitcoin after the recent halving event. According to their estimates, the new supply entering the market, in terms of newly mined BTC, could amount to around $40-$50 million in USD-notional terms.
However, this figure may drop to as low as $30 million per day as time goes on. This projection takes into consideration both active and dormant supply, as well as the potential for miner selling to affect the overall market.
Unfortunately, smaller miner operations may feel the impact of these changes, potentially being forced to cease their activities as a result of the evolving market conditions. These insights were detailed in a report provided by Bitfinex analysts to CoinDesk.
As the Bitcoin market adjusts to the effects of the halving event and changes in issuance rates, it remains to be seen how miners and investors will adapt to the shifting landscape. Stay tuned to The Bib Theorists for more updates on this developing story.
