Apple Previews New Accessibility Features Coming with iOS 18, Including Updates for CarPlay
Tech giant Apple has announced new accessibility features that will be included in iOS 18, with a particular focus on updates for CarPlay. The company highlighted three new features for CarPlay that aim to make the driving experience more accessible for users.
One of the key features is Voice Control, which will allow users to navigate CarPlay and control apps using their voice. This will make it easier for individuals to use CarPlay hands-free, enhancing safety on the road. Another feature, Color Filters, will provide a visually easier interface for individuals with color blindness, ensuring that all users can easily access and use CarPlay.
The third feature, Sound Recognition, is designed to help drivers or passengers who are deaf or hard of hearing. This feature will enable users to receive notifications for driving-related sounds, making it easier for them to stay informed while on the road.
It is worth noting that these features are already available on iPhone and iPad, and will now be incorporated into the CarPlay interface.
iOS 18 is expected to be unveiled at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) on June 10, with a wide release expected in September. Apple users can look forward to these new accessibility features and other updates to enhance their overall experience with iOS 18.
